For years, I unknowingly lived in what I now know as “survival brain,” where fear, stress, and self-doubt dominated my every day. But what if there was another way? Relearning Life the Way It Was Meant to Be


Living outside survival brain isn’t about ignoring challenges—it’s about relearning how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. It means embracing happiness, experiencing peace and ease, and trusting the process of life even when it feels like you’re stepping into the unknown. In this new state of being, the idea of feeling safe isn’t just a distant dream; it becomes your everyday reality.


Imagine waking up and feeling at home in your own life—a life where you’re not constantly on guard but are instead open to the beauty of every moment. This is not an instant transformation; it’s a gentle, sometimes challenging process of unlearning old habits and embracing new perspectives. And yes, there are moments when I slip back into survival mode, but they’re fewer and far between, and I always find my way back to this more peaceful, joyful state.


My Unexpected Journey to Healing


I never set out to heal. In fact, I didn’t even know that I needed to. My journey began quite by accident as I immersed myself in work and training, gradually uncovering parts of myself that I had long ignored. It wasn’t until I was able to step out of survival brain—even if only for short periods—that I realized just how much I had been holding myself back.


The transformation was nothing short of a rebirth. I discovered that to truly create the life I wanted, I had to reinvent myself. In that process, I learned that there are two paths: you either reinvent who you are or allow your true self to emerge, taking charge of your destiny. For me, it was about grieving the old, protective ego and reconnecting with the raw, unguarded parts of my inner child. That inner child, full of wonder and untainted by the scars of past fears, held the key to a more authentic and joyful life.

I created The Craft of Wellness because I believe none of us should have to navigate this transformative journey alone. Stepping outside the confines of survival brain can feel like an awakening—a scary yet exhilarating rebirth.
